My first stage performance was age 4. All my brothers and sister were taking piano lessons and I was too young, so the piano teacher started me out singing. I have been singin’ ever since. I sang for many years in school, Church, and traveling local groups. I have done numerous theatrical shows and musical shows over the last 45 years and I love being on stage. When I was 6 I also started piano lessons and played for about 6 years but my heart was not into piano.
A neighbor girl had a record player and she would play all of these great songs on 45’s by a group call the Beatles. They were the coolest. I have never been able to get music out of my system, nor do I ever want to. I am more home on stage than I am any where else.
I started playing guitar when I was 16. I went in the service (Army) right after I graduated High School at age 17, all the time playing guitar and singing. I have done solo acts, duos and choral groups, stage productions of musicals and plays, country bands, and rock bands, from Berlin Germany and in the US. My most recent groups here in St. Louis were Silent Thunder, Breaking Point, and Solar Eclipse Band.
I am really honored to be a part of Banana Wind. They are a great bunch of professionals and we will do our best to bring the ocean, sand and palm trees, with a cool touch of rum and Margaritas to you here in the Midwest.
